Invitation for visitors of the Vilnius Book Fair to experience a small giants' world
The Vilnius Book Fair features a colorful installation with oversized human body and facial details, offering visitors a unique experience of feeling small in a much larger world.
At the Vilnius Book Fair, attendees are invited to explore a captivating installation that features giant-sized representations of human body and facial details, designed to create an immersive experience. This project not only attracts attention but also encourages visitors to engage with the world through childlike senses, allowing them to feel diminutive in a seemingly vast environment.
The visual concept for the installation was crafted by scenographer Neringa Keršulytė, who previously worked on an artistic element for the Vilnius Theatre’s production 'About a Person.' The idea behind this choice stemmed from a desire to view adults through children's eyes, leading to a creative process that deconstructed human forms and their physical and imaginative qualities. The enlarged body fragments serve to evoke curiosity, reflecting how adults are perceived as intriguing and almost magical through the eyes of a child.
This innovative approach at the Vilnius Book Fair allows participants to reconnect with their imagination and explore perspectives that challenge conventional views. It sets a playful tone for the event and emphasizes the importance of creativity in understanding our environment, making the installation a significant highlight of the fair and creating a lasting impact on its visitors.
