"Turandot" is being presented in four versions. At the Conservatory with the finale by Luciano Berio

The Conservatory in Milan is showcasing a contemporary production of Puccini's "Turandot" featuring Luciano Berio's finale, as it prepares for the opera's centenary revival at La Scala.

On April 26, 1926, Milan premiered one of the world's most performed operas, Giacomo Puccini's "Turandot", celebrated particularly for its iconic aria, "Nessun dorma". As part of the centennial celebrations, La Scala will present a revival of this masterpiece next April. In the lead-up, the Conservatory is hosting a unique event that features young performers under 30 who will bring a fresh perspective to the timeless tale, with adjustments to portray character ages appropriately. This production, titled T4T The Four Turandot, is innovative as it explores the four different versions of the opera, each performed in different countries, including Italy, Korea, China, and the United States.
