Reset Energy and the green approach to bills: clean energy by subscription

Reset Energy promotes a green approach to electricity bills, supporting renewable energy and clean energy subscriptions.

Reset Energy is advocating for a green approach to electricity bills by emphasizing the importance of clean energy subscriptions. According to a recent press release from the Terna Group, there has been a noted increase in electricity demand since September 2025, with January showing a recovery in energy consumption. This recovery was largely attributed to fewer working days and a significant drop in average temperatures, which were 1.7°C lower than the previous year during the same period.

In January 2026, Italy's national electricity production met 88.7% of the energy demand with the remainder being sourced from imports. Interestingly, imports decreased by about one-third (33.2%) compared to the previous year, which reflects a growing contribution from renewable energy sources. Wind and solar power, in particular, have played a crucial role in this shift towards sustainability, enabling Italy to generate more energy domestically and reduce its reliance on foreign energy supplies.

The trend highlights the ongoing transition towards renewable energy in Italy. With initiatives like those from Reset Energy, there is an increasing focus on subscription models that promote the use of clean energy, encouraging consumers to engage in more sustainable practices. This move not only addresses environmental concerns but also potentially stabilizes prices in the long-term energy market as domestic production rises, supporting economic sustainability alongside ecological goals.
