WA man charged over alleged domestic abuse spanning two decades

A 54-year-old man in Western Australia has been charged with multiple domestic violence offences spanning nearly two decades.

A 54-year-old man from Kimberly, Western Australia, has been charged with 18 domestic violence-related offences, which police allege occurred over a period of nearly 20 years, from 1998 to 2025. The charges include serious allegations such as five counts of strangulation, four counts of threats to kill, and multiple counts of serious assault and persistent family violence. The identity of the accused is not disclosed due to legal restrictions, but he is scheduled to appear in Broome Magistrates Court this Friday, where his case will be heard following his initial arrest on February 26.
