In ten months, new EU legislation will come into effect in Sweden, mandating that all homeowners, housing cooperatives, and property owners set up collection points for plastics, paper, metals, newspapers, and glass within their premises. Many older buildings in city centers face challenges accommodating multiple recycling containers due to space constraints. As a result, property owners and housing cooperatives have been encouraged to create new environmental spaces, possibly incurring significant expenses.
