5 Martyrs in Israeli Shelling Targeting Two Police Posts in Gaza
Five Palestinians have been killed and others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting police stations in Gaza City.
Five Palestinians have died, and several others have sustained varying degrees of injury due to Israeli drone strikes that targeted police stations in the al-Bureij refugee camp and the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. According to medical sources at the Al-Nasser Medical Complex, three fatalities and multiple injuries were reported due to an Israeli drone attack that hit a police point at a junction in the al-Mawasi area, described as being outside of the Israeli army's control. Some of the wounded were reported to be in critical condition.
Additionally, in a separate incident in central Gaza, two more Palestinians were killed and others injured from a similar drone strike that targeted another police station at the entrance of the al-Bureij camp. The ongoing airstrikes have raised concerns over the safety of civilians and the humanitarian situation in the region, given the backdrop of tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem condemned the attacks, stating that the continued loss of life reflects a blatant disregard by the Israeli occupation for the mediation efforts aimed at achieving peace. He further characterized the Israeli actions as a war of extermination and destruction, indicating a significant escalation in hostilities and underscoring the urgent need for international intervention to address the rising fatalities and violence in the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
