Transcorp reports N136bn PAT, up 44%

Transcorp, a Nigerian conglomerate, reported a 44% increase in its Profit After Tax for FY 2025, reaching N135.9 billion, alongside significant growth in revenue and total assets.

Transnational Corporation Plc, a prominent indigenous conglomerate based in Nigeria, has announced a remarkable 44% increase in its Profit After Tax (PAT) for the financial year 2025, rising to N135.9 billion from N94.1 billion in the previous year. This impressive growth has been documented in the company's audited results submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited. Alongside this increase in profitability, Transcorp also marked a significant milestone by surpassing N1 trillion in total assets for the first time in its history, signifying robust financial growth and stability.

The surge in Transcorp's revenue has been equally noteworthy, climbing 33% to N544 billion compared to N408 billion in FY 2024. This growth can be attributed to strong performance across its key sectors, particularly the power and hospitality industries. The revenue from Transcorp's power subsidiaries saw a staggering increase of 38% to N483.97 billion, largely driven by enhanced generation capacity and an improved gas supply. Meanwhile, Transcorp Hotels Plc also benefited from a 38% rise in revenue to N97.04 billion, reflecting strong demand for hotel services, especially in the areas of accommodations and conference facilities.

As a conglomerate with diverse interests in power, hospitality, and energy, Transcorp's positive financial results not only indicate its market strength but also suggest considerable confidence in its operational strategies. The consistent growth in revenue and profitability demonstrates the company's resilience amidst economic challenges in Nigeria, positioning it for future expansion and investment in its various sectors. This financial performance could serve as a catalyst for enhancing investor confidence and attracting further investment into the Nigerian economy, particularly in the sectors where Transcorp operates.
