Seplat Energy Plc, an independent energy company listed on both the Nigerian and London Stock Exchanges, has announced significant financial results for the 2025 fiscal year. The company reported a remarkable 144.2% increase in revenue, amounting to $2.73 billion, compared to the previous year's revenue of $1.12 billion. This growth is largely attributed to a full year of contributions from its offshore assets, indicating a successful operational strategy and market performance.
Additionally, the company's cash generated from operations saw a substantial increase of 276%, totaling $1.17 billion for the year. Seplat's capital expenditures reached $266.8 million, reflecting its commitment to investment in growth and sustainability. The company's balance sheet remained strong with a reduction in net debt by 25% year-on-year, from $897.8 million to $673.3 million, indicating improved financial health and management.
In terms of shareholder returns, Seplat declared a dividend of 8.3 cents per share for the fourth quarter, marking an 11% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 20% increase year-on-year. The total dividend declared for 2025 reached 25 cents per share, showcasing the company's profitability and its intention to reward shareholders amid significant revenue growth and robust operational performance.
