OHLA performs better in construction and returns to profits with 1.7 million

The construction group OHLA reports a net profit of 1.7 million euros, showcasing a substantial improvement in their financial performance.

The Spanish construction group OHLA has announced a net profit of 1.7 million euros, marking a significant turnaround as it moves back into profitability after a challenging period. This comes as a result of a notable 36.4% increase in EBITDA, amounting to 208 million euros, which reflects the company's improved operational efficiency and effectiveness in managing costs. The company reported a 7% margin on gross operating results, indicating a successful exit from an efficiency plan aimed at enhancing performance and competitiveness in the construction sector.

Despite previous financial setbacks, OHLA has managed to generate positive cash flow for the third consecutive year, totaling 76 million euros. This resilience in cash generation is critical for the company, which faced the burden of a 21 million euro emergency recapitalization launched in late 2024, completed in February 2025. The successful execution of this recapitalization is expected to support OHLA's ongoing financial recovery and strategic investments in future projects.

Additionally, the group's activity portfolio has reached an all-time high, climbing to 9.735 billion euros, bolstered by new contracts worth 4.763 billion euros secured over the past 12 months. This impressive backlog underscores the robust demand for construction services in Spain and abroad, positioning OHLA for sustained growth and profitability in the coming years. The company's achievements in 2025 suggest a revitalized outlook for stakeholders, emphasizing its potential to regain market confidence and attract further investment.
