In Boa Vista, a 37-year-old man attempted to steal a perfume valued at R$ 189 from a cosmetics store by distracting a 19-year-old sales manager. The suspect posed as a customer and tried to engage the sales assistant in conversation while attempting to sneak the product into his bag.

The young manager, however, was alert and noticed the suspicious behavior. When she confronted the man, he attempted to flee and even assaulted the sales assistant in the process. Fortunately, staff from a neighboring store intervened and restrained the man until the police arrived to make an arrest.
