"I do not remember meeting Epstein. Ask Trump," Clinton said

Hillary Clinton testified before a U.S. House committee, denying any knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and claiming she has never met him, urging lawmakers to question Donald Trump instead.

Hillary Clinton, the former U.S. Secretary of State, testified before a congressional oversight committee regarding her links to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. Clinton stated that she has no recollection of ever having met Epstein and urged the committee members to focus their inquiries on Donald Trump, the current Republican president. She suggested that Trump should testify under oath about his connections to Epstein, given the gravity of the allegations surrounding Epstein's criminal activities.

In her statement, Clinton emphasized her unawareness of Epstein's criminal actions, firmly asserting that she had no knowledge of his illicit activities. She referenced Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, both of whom have been under scrutiny for their roles in trafficking and sexual exploitation. Clinton's testimony comes amidst broader efforts by the committee to investigate the connections of political figures, including herself and former President Bill Clinton, to Epstein.

Clinton has previously accused the oversight committee of targeting her and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, as a diversion from inquiries into Trump's established ties with Epstein. As this investigation unfolds, Bill Clinton is also expected to testify before the committee, which highlights the ongoing complexities and implications regarding political accountability and public scrutiny in high-profile sexual crime cases.
