Alexander Ruuttu leaves the SM-liiga – Here is his new team
Alexander Ruuttu has parted ways with Mikkelin Jukurit and signed with Adler Mannheim in the DEL league.
Mikkelin Jukurit announced that they have mutually agreed to terminate the contract of their vice-captain, Alexander Ruuttu, who has had a notable presence in the team with 23 points in 44 games this season. Jukurit's sports director Mikko Hakkarainen expressed gratitude for Ruuttu's contributions and the important role he played within the team.
Following this news, Adler Mannheim, a team in Germany's top-tier DEL league, announced that they have signed Ruuttu. Currently, Adler Mannheim is in second place in the league with seven games remaining in the regular season, marking a potential step forward in Ruuttu's career as he aims to make a significant impact in this competitive league.
In addition to Ruuttu's departure, Jukurit also reported earlier that they have loaned players Alberts Šmits to Red Bull München and Juuso Arola to HC Fribourg-Gotteron, which indicates a broader strategy for the team as they adapt their roster in the ongoing season.
