Youth leaders and stakeholders from the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District have criticized a group that expressed support for the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, stating that this group does not represent the views or interests of the local communities. The leaders, including former Youth Leader Nasiru Jagaba and Derek Christopher, emphasized that the unknown individuals who gathered in Kafanchan to express solidarity with El-Rufai lack the authority to speak for the Southern Kaduna population. They highlighted that these supporters are not recognized within the region and do not have a legitimate mandate.

During a press conference, the youth representatives called attention to the grievances faced by the people during El-Rufai's tenure, pointing out that the pro-El-Rufai group appears motivated by personal and financial agendas rather than the well-being of the Southern Kaduna communities. They demanded a thorough investigation into alleged financial irregularities amounting to N432 billion during El-Rufai's administration and stressed the need for accountability regarding resources allocated to the region.

This situation underscores a broader discontent among Southern Kaduna youths who feel marginalized and neglected by both the former governor’s administration and the groups that claim to support him.
