The bicycle thief initially fled the scene with his bicycle but abandoned it after about 100 meters, continuing his escape on foot. Authorities later discovered that the bicycle, a child-sized mountain bike, had been reported stolen from a garage on Agnes-Bernauer-Street in Laim back in January.
