Sikorski awarded by President Zelensky. In addition to him, 6 other Poles

Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski was awarded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his contributions to Ukraine amidst Russian aggression, along with six other Poles.

On February 23, just before the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded state distinctions to several individuals, recognizing their significant contributions in supporting Ukraine during these challenging times. Among the recipients was Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, highlighted for his exceptional personal involvement in strengthening inter-state cooperation, as well as promoting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Sikorski received the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, degree II, reflecting his outstanding efforts in international diplomacy and humanitarian work concerning Ukraine. Notably, this award marks a continuation of honor for Sikorski, who previously received the same order in 2011, indicating a longstanding commitment to Ukraine's cause and Polish-Ukrainian relations. The acknowledgment from Ukraine symbolizes a strategic partnership and mutual support in the face of aggression by Moscow.

In addition to Sikorski, six other Poles were honored, including Mateusz Wodziński, head of Exen, and local officials such as the mayor of Warsaw's Mokotów district, Rafał Miastowski. This recognition underscores not only the contributions of these individuals but also the solidarity and integrated efforts from Poland supporting Ukraine, showcasing the strong ties between these neighboring nations amidst the ongoing conflict.
