Statistics Released: Finns Are Cruising More Enthusiastically Than Before

Last year, Finnish citizens made approximately 7.75 million trips abroad, with a significant portion done via cruise ships.

According to Tallink Silja Line, Finnish citizens made around 7.75 million trips abroad in the previous year. Notably, about 38% of these leisure trips were undertaken by ship, highlighting a growing trend in maritime travel among Finns. The CEO of Tallink Silja Line, Margus Schults, pointed out that flying accounts for nearly half of these trips, with the remainder made by car. This shift towards cruise travel is part of a larger pattern, indicating a revitalization of interest in maritime leisure.
