A police operation in the Bairro da Paz neighborhood of Salvador ended tragically when a 9-year-old child was struck by a stray bullet and a suspect was killed. The military police, specifically the Tactical Police Battalion of Rondesp Atlântico, were conducting patrols in the area when they received reports of armed individuals selling drugs. Upon encountering the masked and armed group, a confrontation ensued, resulting in one suspect being shot. Although he was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
