A tragic incident occurred at the Areolino de Abreu Hospital in the northern zone of Teresina, where a patient was found dead early in the morning of October 26. According to local authorities, the patient was asphyxiated with a plastic bag, and the body was subsequently burned in the facility's internal pavilion. In the aftermath of the incident, two other patients who were interned in the same pavilion confessed to the crime and have since been isolated from the rest of the hospital population.
