Following a recent correction, the Greek market is attempting to regain its footing, primarily driven by strong corporate performance that reinforces the narrative surrounding listed companies.
During the third trading session of the week, the General Index has seen an increase of +0.86%, standing at 2,303.43 points after gaining approximately 20 points compared to Wednesday's close at 2,283.73 points. The day’s fluctuations ranged over ten points (from 2,294.91 to 2,304.78 points), with a trading volume of around 7.7 million euros, indicating a steady interest among investors.
On the specific stocks, Piraeus Bank stands out with a growth of +1.8%, trading at 8.2 euros, attributed to its robust profitability and a commendable dividend of 0.40 euros per share. Additionally, Metlen achieved a rise of more than +1%, while OTE reported improved performance, further supporting the overall positive sentiment in the market.
