Prince Hisahito of Akishino reported his coming-of-age ceremony by visiting the mausoleum of Emperor Meiji in Kyoto.

On the 26th, Prince Hisahito of Akishino, the eldest son of the Akishino family, reported his coming-of-age ceremony by visiting the mausoleums of Emperor Meiji and Emperor Komei in Kyoto. Dressed in formal morning attire, he paid respects at the Fushimi Momoyama Mausoleum of Emperor Meiji by offering a ritual tree branch (tamagushi) and then continued to the mausoleum of Empress Dowager ShoKen located nearby. Later, he also visited the Sennyuji Temple in Higashiyama Ward, where he paid respects at the mausoleum of Emperor Komei and Empress Dowager Eishō. Hisahito is currently a first-year student at Tsukuba University, where he is balancing both studies and public duties.
