Ponsse, a prominent forest machine manufacturer based in Finland, has announced plans to expand its factory located in Vierema. The proposed expansion involves an investment of ten million euros and aims to enhance the facilities used for welding operations. Company officials stated that the expansion will also focus on investments in production technology, machining, and automation, which are critical for modern manufacturing processes.

The expansion is slated to add approximately 1,300 square meters to the existing factory space. According to Ponsse's official communications, this move represents a significant investment that will improve production flexibility and efficiency. Tommi Väänänen, the managing director, highlighted that the new equipment associated with the expansion will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's operational capabilities. The timeline for the project is expected to be clarified in the upcoming spring.
