Rory Chamberlain, the director of Ukrspecsystems UK, emphasized the importance of this venture, stating that it symbolizes essential support from the UK following four years of large-scale Russian invasion in Ukraine.

The establishment of this factory is part of a broader trend, as other Ukrainian defense companies have either opened or are planning to open manufacturing sites in various European countries, including Denmark and Germany. While the specific types of drones to be produced at the UK facility remain unclear, Ukrspecsystems is known for manufacturing surveillance drones, and there is precedence of the UK purchasing such drones—having already acquired 80 units for Ukrainian armed forces.
