After terrorizing the couple, the robbers searched through cupboards and boxes, making off with approximately 500,000 rupees in cash and an estimated 10 million rupees worth of gold and silver jewelry. Once they secured the loot, the criminals easily escaped as fear enveloped the entire neighborhood in the aftermath of the crime.
