Cricket: Winners emerge at National U-17 zonal qualifiers

The events were held simultaneously at two locations, the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and Owerri Government Secondary School in Owerri, Imo State. In the South-West zone, Ekiti State topped the female category, with Lagos State and Ogun State securing second and third places, respectively. On the male side, Lagos State achieved victory, followed by Oyo State and Ogun State in that order. Meanwhile, the South-East zone saw Ebonyi State winning in the women's category, closely followed by Anambra and Abia States. The male winners from South-East were Imo State, with Ebonyi and Anambra securing second and third places.
The outcomes of these zonal qualifiers have paved the way for the national finals, enhancing the prospects for young cricketers in Nigeria.
