The train returns to Tigre, but will not complete its full route

The Argentine train service to Tigre will resume operations, but initially, it will only reach as far as the Belgrano C station.

Trenes Argentinos announced that while it was expected to fully restore railway services on the Mitre line by March 1st, the train service from Retiro to Tigre will initially only operate up to the Belgrano C station. This phased restoration is part of a broader plan, and full service is expected to resume by March 8th. The government aims to ensure a smooth transition and is conducting necessary tests during this period.

In addition to the partial service to Tigre, the company revealed that the José León Suárez and Bartolomé Mitre lines will also only reach Belgrano R from March 1st to March 7th. This limited operation reflects ongoing adjustments following the complete closure of the Tigre branch earlier in the year. The intention behind the phased approach is to guarantee that the service is reliable and safe for passengers.

This announcement comes after significant disruptions in the train services affecting the northern part of Buenos Aires, highlighting the importance of train travel in the region. Local commuters have been awaiting the restoration of full services, which will be essential for daily transit and economic activities in the Tigre area and beyond.
