Authorities in Limeira, Brazil, are investigating the disappearance of a 33-year-old driver who went missing after a dramatic cargo theft on the evening of Tuesday, October 24. The truck was transporting electronic equipment valued at R$ 3.7 million when it was targeted. Following the incident, the abandoned vehicle was discovered on the SP-330 highway, its cargo compartment cut open and stripped of its valuable contents.

The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported evidence that suggests foul play; internal cameras in the truck had been covered with adhesive tape, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the theft and the disappearance. Personal belongings of the driver, including her cellphone, were found at the crime scene and have been taken into custody by law enforcement for further investigation.

The case has been recorded at the Limeira Departmental Police Station as both a cargo theft and a person missing case. Investigations are being conducted by the General Investigations Department (DIG) of Limeira, who are likely to explore leads related to organized crime, as such high-value cargo thefts are often linked to more extensive criminal networks in Brazil.
