Saudi airlines to restart Jeddah–Abuja flights by 2027 — Ambassador

The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef Albalawi, recently announced plans to resume flight operations between Jeddah and Abuja, indicating that this service will likely restart in June or by January 2027. His announcement came during a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, where he emphasized the importance of fostering strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria across various sectors including economic, political, and security issues.

Ambassador Albalawi highlighted the dual purpose of the flights, as they will facilitate travel for Nigerians wishing to perform Umrah and Hajj, thus enhancing religious tourism between the two nations.
