A significant change in the legislation effective March 1, 2024, is the adjustment of the income threshold associated with the child allowance. The recent amendment to the Law on Child Allowance has increased the income limit from 70% (309.01 euros) to 140% (618.02 euros) of the budgetary base. This change is expected to impact the number of families eligible for assistance, as the budgetary base for 2026 is set at 441.44 euros, altering the financial landscape for many households seeking support for their children.
