In Charqueada, São Paulo, a 43-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening to set his mother on fire by throwing alcohol on her. The incident occurred at their home in the rural area of the city, leading the Municipal Guard to respond to a domestic violence report. Upon arrival, they found the 67-year-old victim sheltered at a friend's house with her clothes soaked in fuel and a strong smell of it in her hair.

According to reports from local authorities, the suspect physically assaulted his mother by grabbing her by the neck and threatening her with a knife. The victim's condition prompted the guards to seize a knife, a lighter, and the dress she was wearing during the attack. Despite the evidence and the mother's testimony, the suspect denied all accusations against him.
