Latvian basketball player Anete Šteinberga will continue her career with Mexico's Ciudad Juárez 'Adelitas' team after previously playing in China and Italy.
Latvian basketball player Anete Šteinberga is set to continue her professional career with Ciudad Juárez's 'Adelitas' team in Mexico, as announced by the organization. This move comes after her stint in the Chinese league, where she became the first Latvian to play in the country's top basketball division, the CBA, averaging 13 points and 7.5 rebounds per game over eight appearances with Henan in January. Previously, she started the season with Italian club Schio 'Familia', showcasing her skills in both the FIBA EuroLeague and the Italian A Series.
Throughout her career, the 36-year-old Šteinberga has played for several clubs across Europe, including 'TTT Rīga' in Latvia, 'Castors' in Belgium, 'Praha' in the Czech Republic, 'Galatasaray' in Turkey, and 'Tango' in France, furthering her experience and skill set in top-tier leagues. At her latest club in Italy, she had notable performances, averaging 10.4 points in five EuroLeague games and contributing significantly at both offensive and defensive ends of the court.
Last season, 'Adelitas' achieved a commendable second-place finish in the Mexican league, indicating a competitive environment that Šteinberga will join.
