The Finnish fashion brand Voglia has officially entered bankruptcy as per a ruling by the Kanta-Häme District Court. Established in 1983, Voglia has been a family-owned business and a significant name in the Finnish fashion scene for nearly four decades. The company reported a turnover of just over one million euros last year, with losses amounting to approximately 500,000 euros, highlighting the financial struggles it faced in recent times.

Fashion journalist Sami Sykkö commented on the unfortunate chapter of Voglia's history, emphasizing the significance of a brand surviving so long in the current Finnish market, where longevity is rare. He expressed disappointment at the loss, noting that Voglia represented a familiar and cherished part of Finnish fashion, and its disappearance underscores the difficulties faced by local fashion enterprises.

Sykkö also mentioned that just a year ago, Voglia's leadership was optimistic about their prospects and had a loyal customer base, with nearly 90% of first-time buyers returning for additional purchases. This highlights the brand's potential and the harsh reality of market dynamics that resulted in its closure, raising questions about the sustainability of long-standing local brands in a challenging economic climate.
