Ferreira was a notable figure in Barrocas, having served as a councilman for five consecutive terms, making him the longest-serving politician currently active in the municipality. His political career began in 2008, and he was highly regarded by the community, receiving the most votes in the 2024 elections with a total of 885 votes. His leadership experience included two terms as president of the City Council, during which he significantly impacted local governance.
