Four Ukrainian defense firms have signed nearly $950 million in partnership agreements with allies in Denmark, Finland, and Latvia to enhance the production of defense drones.
On February 24, several Ukrainian defense companies entered into significant partnership agreements with firms from Denmark, Finland, and Latvia, amounting to approximately $950 million. This initiative, publicly endorsed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, aims to promote the joint production of drones, which are crucial for enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities against ongoing Russian aggression. President Zelensky remarked on the importance of these partnerships on social media, stating that they are not just a reaction to current threats but also a strategy to improve Ukraine's defensive posture for the future. The agreements signify a considerable investment in Ukraine's defense industry, highlighting the country's commitment to developing advanced military technologies in collaboration with European allies. The Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry praised the initiatives, which will involve collaboration on both aerial and ground drones while preparing to expand Ukrainian defense products into European markets.
