A refrigeration technician in Boa Vista, Brazil, has been arrested for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter, with the abuse reported to have started when she was just 11 years old. The incidents occurred during the mother's absence, where the father would take her into a bedroom to commit the crimes. Following the daughter's revelation of the abuse to her mother, the father initially confessed to the offenses and asked for forgiveness but fled when he learned that the matter would be reported to the police.

The investigation into the case began in November 2025 and resulted in the police obtaining a preventive arrest order from the judiciary, which was granted. The investigative team, led by Delegate Kamilla Basto, worked swiftly to locate the suspect, who was eventually apprehended and brought to the Special Police Station. On Wednesday, he was presented for a custody hearing where further legal actions will be determined.
