A 94-year-old driver was seriously injured after being struck by a truck while attempting to cross a highway in Nhandeara, Brazil, resulting in a crash that sent the car tumbling into a ravine.

In the city of Nhandeara, São Paulo, a serious accident occurred when a 94-year-old driver attempted to cross the Rodovia Feliciano Sales Cunha (SP-310) and was struck by a truck. The collision was captured on surveillance footage, showing the truck hitting the car on the side, causing it to flip and tumble down an embankment.

Emergency services reported that four individuals sustained injuries from the incident. The truck, which belongs to a company delivering woodworking supplies, was on its route from São José do Rio Preto for deliveries in the area. Both the driver and an assistant of the truck were also injured, and the crash was so severe that the truck ended up overturned with its wheels facing upwards.

Following the crash, emergency medical services (Samu) were dispatched to the scene to transport the injured people to the hospital in Nhandeara. The accident has led to road closures, disrupting traffic on the highway, highlighting the dangers of such crossings and the need for safer infrastructure to protect drivers and pedestrians alike.
