The final victim in the scandal involving gynecologist V. Abraicius of Kaunas has been interrogated, revealing allegations of filmed medical examinations without consent.
The Kaunas District Court's communications representative, Inga Ramanauskaitė, announced that another hearing is scheduled for March 23, during which five more witnesses are to be questioned. After this, the accused, V. Abraicius, will provide his testimonies. Previous testimonies from former patients, including a 55-year-old woman, described their shock upon discovering that they were filmed during medical examinations, stating, 'We could not believe it.'
The victims expressed fears that intimate footage filmed clandestinely could be leaked publicly, leading to significant emotional distress, disillusionment, and a deep-seated distrust in others. This case has resulted in severe psychological impacts on the women involved, as they have shared their experiences of feeling violated and betrayed by someone they trusted with their health.
