Lagos LG boss vows prosecution for domestic violence offenders
The Chairman of the Lekki Local Council in Lagos State has declared that domestic violence offenders will face prosecution to address the rising incidents of abuse against women and children.
Bamidele Kasali, the Chairman of the Lekki Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, has announced a firm stance against domestic violence, stating that those who commit such acts will face legal prosecution. This declaration comes amid a worrying increase in the incidence of domestic violence and abuse directed at women and girls within the community. Kasali emphasized the necessity of this warning to foster a safer society for all, particularly vulnerable individuals.
In his remarks to the News Agency of Nigeria, Kasali called on residents to uphold strong moral values that respect and protect the rights and dignity of women and children.
