Davis Carvalho Teixeira, a 73-year-old farmer, was killed after being shot in the face during a robbery attempt at his property in Caconde, São Paulo, on the night of Monday, October 23. His body was buried in the morning of Tuesday, October 24, in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais. According to a police report from Teixeira's son, the family was alerted around 6:50 PM about the attempted invasion by four armed criminals. Tragically, his efforts were not enough, and Teixeira sustained fatal injuries during the confrontation.
