BSNL Director Faces Backlash Over 'Royal Protocol' in Sangam, Action Initiated
The Indian government has initiated action against BSNL director Vivek Banjal for issuing a controversial 'royal protocol' for a planned visit to Prayagraj.
The recent controversy surrounding a 'royal protocol' issued by BSNL director Vivek Banjal has caught the attention of the Indian government, prompting Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to take action. The protocol, released on February 19, mandated the deployment of over 50 officials for various tasks, including preparations for bathing and dining at the Sangam during Banjal's visit. Following the viral spread of this protocol on the internet, the proposed visit, scheduled for February 25, was promptly canceled. In response to this incident, the government deemed it a violation of established rules, leading to the transfer of Prayagraj's PGM, Brajendra Kumar Singh, to Andhra Pradesh.
