"Frankenburg Technologies" attracts 30 million euros to strengthen European missile manufacturing capabilities

Frankenburg Technologies has secured 30 million euros in funding to enhance missile manufacturing in Europe, led by the European venture capital fund 'Plural' and joined by Estonia’s state investment fund 'SmartCap'.

Frankenburg Technologies has announced an investment of 30 million euros aimed at boosting its missile manufacturing capabilities across Europe. This funding round was spearheaded by the European venture capital fund 'Plural' and was supplemented by contributions from Estonia’s state investment fund 'SmartCap'. The investment will enable Frakenburg to expand its operational capacity and develop cutting-edge precision missile systems, crucial in addressing modern security concerns in Europe.

The company comprises a team of seasoned missile engineers and defense experts who have experience in prominent European and allied missile programs, including 'IRIS-T', 'SPEAR3', 'Storm Shadow', and 'Brimstone'. Their approach is to create world-class, precision-guided missile systems while establishing mass production capabilities within Europe. The facility's production model allows for the localization of manufacturing capacities in specific countries, ensuring that missile availability meets the demands prompted by contemporary security challenges in the region.

The rise in drone and other unmanned systems assaults has created a persistent security challenge across Europe. Compared to interceptor missiles, which are often expensive and produced in limited quantities, Frakenburg’s systems are designed to be cost-effective. This financial boost allows the company to ramp up the production of these systems swiftly and affordably, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing Europe’s defense infrastructure in light of evolving threats.
