Thieves stole a car under the pretext of a test drive, a shocking theft in Barabanki
In Barabanki, India, four young men stole a Mahindra SUV by pretending to take it for a test drive, violently throwing an employee out of the moving vehicle before escaping.
In a brazen act of theft in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, four young men posed as potential buyers to steal a Mahindra SUV. On Tuesday evening, they arrived at a car showroom, expressed interest in the Mahindra XUV300, and requested a test drive. Once on the highway, approximately one kilometer into the drive, the youths assaulted the showroom employee accompanying them and threw him out of the moving vehicle before fleeing with the car.
The stolen SUV is valued at around ₹7.5 lakh, a considerable amount that highlights the audacity of the crime. The injured employee promptly informed his employer, Shahid, about the incident, prompting immediate action. The local police were notified and arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify and capture the suspects involved.
This incident raises serious concerns about security measures at car showrooms and the ease with which criminals can exploit such vulnerabilities. As investigations continue, the community is left shocked by the violent nature of the theft and the boldness of those involved, prompting calls for enhanced security protocols in similar establishments across the region.
