The Himachal Pradesh Police department is currently under scrutiny due to an administrative order regarding IPS officer Aditi Singh, who has repeatedly taken leave. The state's Director General of Police, Ashok Tiwari, stated that Aditi Singh took a total of 25 days of leave from January 8 to February 22, which significantly affected the day-to-day functioning of her office.

Aditi Singh, currently serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) at the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) in Dharamshala, handles investigations related to corruption. The nature of her work demands continuous administrative oversight, making her absence a critical issue for the operational integrity of the bureau. Given that the SV&ACB is tasked with addressing cases of corruption, the lack of consistent leadership during her leave raises concerns about the effectiveness of ongoing investigations.

As a measure to ensure administrative continuity, the order has temporarily assigned the charges of Aditi Singh to Additional Superintendent of Police Brahm Das Bhatia until further notice. The directive not only facilitates the transition of responsibilities but also mandates that Bhatia work closely with Singh during her time away, ensuring that the department's operational needs are met.
