Crans, Italian prosecutors return to Switzerland
Italian prosecutors are set to return to Switzerland to continue their investigation into the Crans-Montana fire that resulted in 41 deaths, including six Italians, following an offer of cooperation from Swiss authorities.
Following a devastating fire in Crans-Montana that claimed 41 lives, of which six were Italian, cooperation between Italian and Swiss legal authorities has taken a significant step forward. The Swiss Attorney General of the Valais Canton, Beatrice Piloud, has expressed the willingness to facilitate a new meeting in Switzerland, allowing Italian prosecutors access to the investigative records developed so far. This collaboration aims to further advance the investigation into potential crimes, including negligent disaster and involuntary manslaughter, as Italian authorities seek to gather crucial evidence for their case.
