Economic Justice Action Citizen Alliance Calls for Full Review of 99 Toxic Provisions in Administrative Integration Special Law
The Economic Justice Action Citizen Alliance urges a full review of 99 toxic provisions in three special administrative integration bills that passed the National Assembly's Administrative Safety Committee.
The Economic Justice Action Citizen Alliance (경실련) recently highlighted its concerns regarding 99 toxic provisions within three special administrative integration laws that have passed through a committee in the South Korean National Assembly. During a press conference held on the morning of the 25th at their headquarters in Jongno, Seoul, they provided an in-depth analysis of laws intended for the administrative integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam, Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and Daejeon and Chungnam. They called for these provisions, which they claim contradict constitutional order and democratic principles, to be thoroughly reconsidered before the laws receive final approval during a parliamentary session.
