Possible explosion, do not charge more than 70%! This brand has recalled EV

Volvo has initiated a significant recall of its popular EX30 electric SUV due to potential fire hazards related to the high-voltage battery packs, affecting over 40,000 vehicles worldwide.

The demand for electric vehicles is rising significantly worldwide, but safety concerns have once again captured the attention of the auto industry. In response to these concerns, Swedish car manufacturer Volvo has launched a major recall of its popular EX30 electric SUV. This recall is prompted by potential fire risks linked to the vehicle's battery, potentially impacting thousands of customers who own the affected model.

According to a report from Reuters, a total of 40,323 units are involved in the recall, including both single-motor extended range and twin-motor performance variants of the Volvo EX30 electric SUV. Volvo has acknowledged that there is a risk of the high-voltage battery pack overheating, which could lead to fire incidents, a serious safety issue that the company has taken seriously.

Volvo has assured that it is proactively contacting all affected vehicle owners to inform them about the steps being taken in response to the recall. The company has committed to replacing defective battery modules at no cost to the customers, emphasizing that the safety of its customers is its top priority. Until the battery modules are replaced, Volvo advises users not to charge their vehicles beyond 70% to mitigate the potential risk related to battery overheating.
