The Vasaloppet, recognized as the world’s oldest and largest ski marathon, will take place for the 102nd time, covering the distance from Sälen to Mora. Scheduled for the first Sunday in March, with this tradition dating back to 1948, this year will showcase updated course changes, including newly marked kilometers and stricter control measures. Athletes, both elite and recreational, will traverse the 90 kilometers, culminating under the banner 'In our fathers' footsteps for future victories.' However, this year’s finish line has been relocated to a temporary structure, situated 100 meters before the traditional finish marker, altering the climax of the race.
