The second stage of the Ecuajunior Circuit 2026 took place successfully at the Salinas Country Club, with Leonardo Baquerizo, Miguel Sanmartín, and Luigi Benincaza emerging as champions in their respective categories.

The II Ecuajunior Circuit 2026 was successfully held at the Salinas Country Club from February 20 to 22, featuring about 50 participants from various cities across Ecuador. The event showcased promising young talent, with competitors hailing from places like Guayaquil, Quito, Manta, Cuenca, and more, highlighting the circuit’s reach and the growing interest in youth tennis in the country.

In the 11-year unified category, Leonardo Baquerizo from Samborondón secured his championship title by defeating Carlos Bazán from Salinas with a score of 6-1, 6-3. Miguel Sanmartín from Guayaquil triumphed in the 13-year unified category, also against Bazán, winning with two sets of 6-2. Luigi Benincaza of Portoviejo claimed victory in the 14+ unified category, overcoming Dylan Assan from Salinas in a closely contested match that ended with scores of 7-5, 6-3, (10-8).

The event was not just a competition but a community gathering, fostering a sense of camaraderie and family among the participants and their supporters. The Fair Play Panathlon trophy was awarded to Dylan Assan, recognizing sportsmanship in the tournament.
