'City Hall College': preliminary results of the program are released in Porto Velho
The City Hall of Porto Velho has announced the preliminary results of its college program, offering scholarships to 165 students across various fields of study.
The City Hall of Porto Velho released the preliminary results of the selection process for its college program, known as 'Faculdade da Prefeitura', on Tuesday, which included socioeconomic evaluations and candidate identification procedures. Approximately 6,000 candidates participated in the selection process, with 165 students set to receive scholarships in higher education programs such as Medicine, Law, Accounting, Pedagogy, Dentistry, and Engineering.
The schedule includes a period for candidates to contest the preliminary results on the 25th and 26th of this month, with the final list of awarded scholarships expected to be published on March 3. The program is aimed at providing opportunities for underprivileged students, structured with specific criteria such as achieving a minimum score of 400 on the National High School Exam (Enem), having a family income of up to one and a half minimum wages, having studied in public schools, and residing in Porto Velho for at least a specified period.
This initiative reflects the local government's commitment to enhancing educational access for students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. By supporting higher education, the City Hall of Porto Velho hopes to foster academic development and provide pathways for students who may otherwise face challenges in continuing their education, thereby contributing to the overall social improvement in the region.
