SP Delegates' Union launches campaign criticizing 'unfulfilled promises' of Tarcísio
The São Paulo Police Delegates' Union is launching a campaign to highlight perceived neglect of the Civil Police and unfulfilled promises by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas.
The São Paulo Police Delegates' Union has initiated a campaign aimed at shedding light on what they describe as the degradation of the Civil Police, attributing this to unfulfilled commitments made by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas during his electoral campaign. Scheduled to kick off on May 24, this movement will see the distribution of billboards across various cities in the state, highlighting issues such as low salaries and insufficient resources for police work.
In conjunction with outdoor advertising, the union is also planning a digital campaign intended to counteract government propaganda. The union has expressed concerns that the promises made by Governor Tarcísio during his 2022 electoral campaign, which pledged improvements and support for the police force, have not been honored. The campaign aims to remind the public of these promises and hold the government accountable for its inaction.
The first phase of the campaign will extend to regions within the state, including the Vale do Paraíba and coastal cities, with targets like Araçatuba, Bauru, and Campinas. The union's efforts come amid increasing calls for better funding and support for law enforcement agencies, raising questions about the state's commitment to maintaining public safety and responding effectively to the needs of its police force.
