Two men died in attack at sports complex in Pradera 2, in southern Guayaquil

The incident occurred around 9:30 PM when the ECU911 emergency service received reports of gunfire at the synthetic soccer field located between Octavo Callejón 47 SE and Av. 10 A. When police arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy named Alexis M. lying on the floor suffering from bullet wounds and he was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

In parallel, another man named Matías M., whose age has not been confirmed, was also injured in the attack and was taken to the hospital by local residents. Tragically, two hours later, authorities received confirmation that Matías had also succumbed to his injuries at Teodoro Maldonado Carbo Hospital. The police have since gathered testimonies from witnesses at the scene and collected ballistic evidence as part of their investigation into the incident.
